Default MCP 600 pump

Anyone here have any experiences with this pump. Seems like a great pump but wondering if it has the leak issues like the MCP300 did before it.

Thanks in advance.

I have one and from all the data out there it is suppose to be a great pump. I had to RMA my pump three time in the begining but, I have just recieved the new pump head from swittech and it seems to be working fine now. From what I have read and from my own experiance the new pump heads have resolved all the problems that the old pump heads had and there have been no leaks that i have noticed. Just make sure your get the MCP600 with the new pump heads and you should have no problems

The first head had kick @ss performance, but gave some problems.
The impellor got replaced (quick fix) and the MCP has now a 0.5 meters lower head.
This will be replaced in 4 or 5 weeks, with a new design, and should give the old head (performance) back.

I was told that the rev.2 will be available at no charge, for anyone having a pump with the smaller impellor. (For outside of the US, your dealer should take care of the replacement)

Well, actually you don't need to 'know".

Just ask for the shipping date from swiftech, if it is end of January, you're sure OK.

Swiftech will change the shaft to a ceramic one, and the impeller will be the old size again (as I was told)

That's "all" to rev.2.

So the only thing you need to know if the shop you buy it from, will deliver you free of charge at the end of January the rev.2 parts.

Default How would you know?

Release 2 huh.

They did this with the MCW-5000 series of WBs too. I do think its a good effort from Swiftech but how do you really know that you have rev 2 pump? In the states the resellers are not going to be taking pumps back just because there is now a new version. Believe me.

So there is no distinguishing characteristic other than the smaller impeller? As far as the old pump is Swiftech taking old pumps back?

The problem was not with the pump motor, only the pump impeller.
It doesnt matter who you bought the pump from (as long as it was bought from a retailer, not your bud down the street), just contact Billa at swiftech if you have problems and he will fix you up.
By the way the redesigned impeller is what would be shipped to you not a new pump. 4 phillips screws to remove and replace impeller assembly.
I think Swifty is doing a great job of handling this slight problem.

You are right about that!
Swifty is goining to replace all the rev1 parts for rev2, free of charge! (in the US that is... Outside US your reseller needs to take care)

Normally you only see type of service like this with 1000$ equipment........

Default Oh..

So I see.

Well thanks for the info. We'll see if I have a problem. I have the pump just don't feel like switching it right at this moment. We are in the process of buying a new home and will hope to close and finish the paperwork this week. I'll start the install on new network afterwards.

Thanks again for the info.
