"extreme turbulence cooling "
OOOOOKKKKAAYYYYYY If they say so!!!! where the hell did they get the notion that turbulence has got anything to do with Superior cooling? That is what I want to know! ![]() looks like yet another copy of.... the copy of..... the one and only... The block evolution goes something like so...give or take... #0 SF. (Sandwiched flatplate) . (1997-1999) [shade-tree]. The pioneers of the hobby. #1 Through hole solid, (2000?-2003)[shade-tree mostly]. Most home-builders and some of the early commercialized efforts. #2 Mazed milled SF (2001-now)[commercial] DD M1, M2,M3 and a shitload of others.... #2.5 dimpled-base, open-air, SF (2001-now)[commercial] Swiftech.... (sorry you guys ![]() #3 Spiral milled SF (2001?-now)[commercial] Fixit and one other.... #4 Micro-channel Jet-propelled milled SF (2002???-now)[commercial] Cathar.... #5 Micro-Cup Jet-propelled milled SF (2003??-now)[experimental] Volenti\Cathar.... guess who has the claim to said technology.... I know of only one "Open Source" Design. #6 Micro-channel Pin-grid SF (Apr2000-now)[Shade-tree-only, Free for all] there is also a lot of "unprecedented " claims made there... Guess they are referring to results obtained in the confines of their own lab ONLY.

I think my favorite quote from their site was this one. "Bullet proof glass top (polycarbonate) ensure a chip/crack free top." HAHAHAAA. don't get me wrong, i'm using lexan for my block, but that's just funny. at least they have the sense to use poly barbs with it. thanks guys, that was good for a laugh. :-D

LOL. Other than that it would be interesting for one to be sent to pH for review. But from the looks of the lack of knowledge from their homepage they are just a couple guys with a small budged and will probably go no where. That top has some significant design flaws aswell. I am sure they will be hearing about it if they sell any. Good luck to them though. Got to start somehwere. |

I have to be honest and say it kinda pisses me off to see these copy-catters getting away with the hard work of others... Sad thing is, they will probably make a proper chunk of money, far exceeding the amount of effort they put into the hard part of the exercise.

You know it's not the technology used that bothers me it is how it is duplicated and then claimed their own. I think this is the lessor of 2 evil's though. Danger Den and the RBX maker can get a little taste of their own copying BS. Still doesn't make it right though. It pisses me off aswell, but what can you do? Just another reason I stepped down from making and sharing block ideas. Not to mention just no time to do it anymore. ![]() |

I think it is a good looking block and, according to the review, it performs within 2C of the whitewater.
It would be a great block if it wasnt so expensive.
