Default The convection end of the cooling system, questions

and some thoughts.

Comp water cooling has gotten down to the nitty gritty of tweaking performance from all the components including the temp in the pumps now. The question I've had i my head for a while now is what will happen with the rad end of the system next? The pumps that have been found recently are highgly efficient and have a very high performance to heat induced ratio. They still add some heat to the system regardless, albeit small compared to pumps of similar performance. How much performance is to be gained if the heat from the added pump performance weren't (nearly as big) an issue and the benefit was just extra performance?
What if a "rad" was used that was capable of dissipating the extra heat from the motor as well as the heat from the different blocks/chips in the system? Is there still performance to be gained through increased flow rate over a high end Iwaki or better if the heat were NOT and issue?
I have several ideas on how to deal with the extra heat without adding much restriction to the system, but am wondering if it would be worth it to test out my ideas? How many degrees can be left to gain?

I was just shown the graph posted by Cathar at OC forums. Pretty much answers many of my questions. Thanks for the graaph Cathar, should be quite helpful to many people

Common Pump Flow vs Pressure vs Heat Comparison

This graph filled me in on pump temps and heat transfer plus the flow for the best 2 blocks, things I've been wanting to know without sifting through several forums and tons of posts. Very nice of Cathar to post that, very helpful. Looking at the graph you can see where the flow rate limits are and also the heat factor for pumps. Adding the 2 together along with some other numbers gave me a better idea where the max amount of work a rad will have to do. The exact math I haven't done, but it was the max amount of flow that will make any sort of differnece on the cpu block that appears to be the limiting factor if pump heat etc... were not an issue.

If I'm reading the graph correctly, it appears tom that anything much above 15lpm with the WW will do very little to add flow, flow looks to increase VERY little from there on up.
