Default Digital Camera.

I Really need to start taking pictures of my projects, but alas my digicam is consigned to the world of poor quality, bad resolution and battery only operation.

I have looked around but all the camera's i find all pump out the same hype as each other, so i was wondering if anyone has any good recomendations for one?

its needs to be battery and USB powered, needs to be able to use either USB Keydrive or Smartmedia cards as expansion (i have dozens of both), lowlevel light would be a plus, flash, fairly large internal storage, and under £80 ($140~usd)

Things it doesnt need at all are video/sound and webcam capabilties.

you *might* be able to get a canon s230 off ebay for that... but i think they're usually closer to $200. worth a check tho, they're nice, and tiny. rechargable battery & CF cards.

I have a Minolta DiMAGE E223, it was $110, the image quality is EXCELLENT for the price.

Only thing is, the A/C adapter is $50 for some reason, and it goes through standard alkalines like they were nothing. (3-4 seconds battery life)

It's perfect if you're just going to be taking pictures of your rig, the low price is because of how long it takes for the flash to charge.. and for the camera to "boot-up"
