50% o'c on water,Prescott 2.4A
here http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NjAzLDI=
interesting chip, no hyperthreding, and 533fsb. but oc'd to over 3.2 on stock cooling, and 3.69 on a non-chilled watercooling system is pretty impressive. nice and cheap too, $150 seems like a good option for people with older boards. thoughts? |

a friend of mine is upgrading his system now and i did some research about what cpu/board me should buy and the prescott 2.4 was the first thing that came to my mind when i looked at the pricelists. it seems that the 2.4 prescott is a very good overclocker but i dont know how much heat it produces at clock speeds >3.4ghz.. i dont want to recommend a cpu to my friend which fries his system. maybe he should buy a northwood and oc it. i dont really know, i'll do some more reading before i suggest him to buy this thing..
