Need Help On TEC Cooling
Hi I just set-up a TEC and need some help. Finally I save enough $$$ to set-up a TEC rig. Was on W/C before. here are the system specs:
- P4 2.8C MO CPU - Abit IC7 - Corsair XMS256C2-PC3500 x 2 - CL2-3-3-7 - Memory Ratio: 5:4 - Sapphire 9800 Pro - Tagan 480W PSU Cooling: Cpu - Swiftech MCW5002-PT(226W pelt) with Meanwell 12v ,25A PSU Gpu - Swiftech MCW50-T(80w pelt) with Antec 480W PSU RAD - Thermochill 120.3(120mm x 3) running with Delta Fans at 7v, 65CFM each Pump - Eheim 1250 Loop is running //. Pump >> Y-spliter >> Cpu and Gpu >> Y-spliter >> RAD >> Rese >> Pump Temps: Ambient @ 30C Water inside Rese @ 40C Cpu Temp in Bios @ 10C Basically I was able to push the 2.8C to 3.8Ghz with Vcore @ 1.65v in Bios. I tried 4.0Ghz. It post but WinXp would not start. I feel that it's the RAMs that are limiting. Might need to VDimm and VTT mod to get it working. But a bit disappionted in the performance of the TEC. Was hopping to get at lease a "-" in the Bios reading. would running in Series instead of // help? or Just the Cpu pelt? Although the 3 Delta fans can run 130CFM @ 12v each, but just imagine the noise of 50dB x 3. I live in Singapore and there is no winter. Ambient Temp is always 26~32C and sometimes 34C. So with that hope you guys/gals can help me out on how to increase preformance. Here are some pics of my set-up. Insulation @ socket area: @ back of mobo: |

run the wbs in series as a first start, record temps
then up the fans to 12V, record temps lay 'em out and see what's happening |
