Okay this is the deal. I can shorten my tubing by a little over a foot, but to do so I would have to have the inlet in my single pass rad be on the bottom and the outlet be on top, as opposed to the outlet being on the bottom and having to travel up a little over a foot to my pump inlet. What is the better idea?

have the outlet at the top, that way the air can escape much easyer and performance would be better with no air in there....l

One foot of tubing isn't really going to make a difference in flowrates. I would just do whatever is best for hose routing purposes- eliminate tighter bends and whatnot.
