www.techbargains.com most of the major retail technology companies have daily, weekly, or end of week promotions and rebate or instant savings codes. That site has saved me a little cash in the past. |

Dont worry, I got mine for $690 shipped on ebay, but you wont remember how much you paid after you get it and fall in love with it.

So I take it the screen door effect thingy isn't that big of a deal? I'm just worried it'll come DOA or with lots of dead pixels and then sh1t's gonna hit the fan.
y371, thanks for the linky ![]() |

It is only noticable when you are <2 inches away from the screen... especially at 1600x1200. I got no dead pixels and no frozen ones, so I'm lucky I guess.

Yay, just got my 2001FP. Everything went well
![]() Wow. I mean, wow. I looked at a few photos with it and I couldn't believe the clarity increase from my old 19" Phillips flat screen CRT (not that the Phillips is unclear, which says even more about this monitor.) I can notice slight ghosting though in games, but it's definitely livable. This is coming from a guy who can't work at 75Hz refresh rate because he sees too much flickering. |

I recently picked up an
NEC Multisync FE1250 on Ebay for $220.00 shipped. Fat and happy at 85Hz, with wallet still intact. ![]() |

I got a new tube, factory refurb off ebay from a seller directly for $168 + shipping. I think I paid $209 total (at the time the sellers listings were closing for ~$330). Awesome monitor! Best value of anything in my system. |

Hey BabyBunny,
What kind of games are you playing that youo see ghosting? I was considering that monitor too (or maybe the 19-inch version).

Yup I also have a 22" Multisync CRT. People break into the house from time to time so I prefer heavy ass TVs and monitors

I play UT2004 and basically a lot of FPS games. Haven't tried racing games yet. I definitely see ghosting in Unreal, and it is enough to cause me to lose track of a head during an intense deathmatch. If the guy is yellow, he'll be a yellow blur with a bit of definition. He won't leave a yellow trail or anything like that; it's just not as crisp as I'm used to. It's definitely a lot better than basically every other LCD that I've seen though. Eh, ghosting is hard to quantify in words.
I'm heavy into digital photos, and the first time I saw a photo on this monitor I couldn't believe how real and crisp it looked. |
