well.. i tried to hold down a chipset cooler with wire once =) didnt really work =/

, only thing I'd change in the design would make one of the pipes extend almost to the end of the of the inside of the block, to stop the water simply taking the shortest path...

the guy should solder in some sheets of copper vertically to direct water flow. that would rox.

I agree that it wont be winning any beauty pageants, but it might produce some decent temps. Directing the flow of water would most likely be a significant improvement. It's hard to say until you see some metrics.
