Has Anyone used one of these?
Un ![]() I Love the design, they look good, and the fit/finish looks superb. Unfortunately every review I can find is in either German or Italian. ![]() I'm in the market for a w/b, and have been leaning towards the new Innovatech, but this is less expensive. And are White Water blocks really THAT good? Any reviews you can point me to? Thanks. BTW, the Cuplex blocks are sold at www.wizarddesigns.co.uk |

They're reported to be quite good, nearly as good as Innovatek blocks. Their only drawback is they're in 10mm (3/8") max, you'll have to mod them to put larger barbs if your system is in 12mm.
Ah try a search on "Cuplex Evo vs Innovatek" as a thread title on these forums. |

that is a beautiful block though. what makes me kinda mad is that i live in the US and there seems to be a lot more choices in europe. Germany especially, there are so many .de sites selling what looks to be quality blocks from small manufacturers. but i cant read german and dont have the money to pay for international shipping. austrailia has silverprop and the white water. but i heard that the white water is going to be distributed to the States real soon.

Yeah,
my search on Cuplex here was very helpful. If I spoke German I'd be all set. I'm sure it was a lovely review. I know SO much more than I did before.

Scope, you are evil. Truly evil.
C'mon, gimmee some first impressions tell me how you got em, wat you paid, etc! Help a junkie out brother! Also, (looking at your pic) was the one CPU not cool enough? You decided to heat it with the other one? Pumping all your waste heat from your 1st CPU into your second CPU makes for excellent looking piping, but may not be the best way to get it done. Think Y splitters! Thanks for the fix, those blocks look awesome!

Whats the water temp difference between the coolant coming in and leaving...about 0.5c? If that much..Water is more efficient than you think
![]() The blocks are top notch, amazing build quality. I haven't fired them up yet so I'm not sure how well they perform. I picked up this stuff from Pug of wizarddesigns.co.uk. Give him a call, good guy to deal with ![]() ![]() |

![]() (Push-fit 90°s != 90° barbs when it comes to flow resistance. ) My gaming rig had sixteen 90° push-fit connectors in the loop at one point (for testing purposes) and still kept temps acceptable under load. ___________ Here's an obligatory y-splitter setup for Whomp. ![]() ![]() ^ not my rig, that belongs to RandomNonsense from Spode's Abode. Cute blocks.
unregistered had a very valid point. Didn't seem to me he was knocking the block at all, just the way they were installed. |

Sorry jaydee, I was refering to the push-fit 90° angles.
I know he wasn't knocking the blocks. |

With a push-fit 90° connector, the internal diameter is the same as the hose.
With a barbed connector, you lose flow due to restriction with the smaller diameter of the inner barb (as well as the other factors). I know there is some loss but it may be more acceptable in real world terms as long as the system's cooling ability is not adversely affected to a great degree. Besides, these blocks don't seem to be as dependent on high flow rate as some. |

Pug
you just demonstrated that you do not know what you are posting about not at all interested in your opinion, post your measurements got it ? your measurements I have done so and I have tested such before you chide about testing, you need to look around ![]() from this article accept the facts: 90° swivel elbows are flow killers and 4 of them are a huge hit - for no cooling benefit from what experience do you characterize "seem" wrt flow rates ? |

Sorry BillA, didn't seem to come across as antagonistic or chiding, more like light-hearted (hence the smileys).
My bad. Quote:

Sorry, tired right now.
I should have said "closer to" zero. My quantification for this query is that my setup is probably lower than the starting point on BillA's graph (where the lines converge a bit more and the difference is less apparent). [Edit] D'oh! Scrub that last bit, I was reading GPM not LPM. |

Amazing...You know it makes it hard to post a single picture without getting hit with graphs, tables, etc on how things should be done. PC's are a hobby for me, has been for many years, and like alot of us on this forum we do what we do for fun.
BillA, Pug stated his opinion on these blocks and is his right. But you always make it seem like your saving the world or something with your graphs and charts. I know 90's are bad, everyone knows 90's are bad...just wanted to try something new (seems its the trend overseas, and wanted to know what the deal was). This is watercooling guys...just watercooling. Please just relax and have fun ![]() |

Scope, I hope you realize my original comment was fairly light-hearted and tongue-in-cheek. Guys, could we just take it as a given that you are ALL smarter than me, you are all correct, and you are all Gods gift to binary, and leave it there? Te bickering and posturing is actually counter productive because no-one wants to slog thru threads full of that crap.
