It has potential, but that outer channel is probably going to cause more damage than good. Also look at the MCW6000 pic above. You need to route the water in the opposite direction of the outlet so all the pins get water running through them. Base thickness is going to be crucial aswell. Try 1/4" and work your way thinner untill you find the best thickness. I am not so sure square pins are optimal either.
