Really, the reason I posted this was due to the following graph (at their site):



Which has this surprising caption:

I'm guessing that they're talking about the water-temperature, and not the CPU. A 30C delta with a 700W heat load works out to a radiator C/W of 0.043, which is reasonable.

My gripe is with the wording, which comes across as if it could keep a 700W CPU at 55C.

Yeah, I noticed that passage too. Usually they will say something like "This new waterblock can easily cool up to 300w!" Looks like a nice (albeit overpriced) case to me.

Yeah, that is kind of misleading, water temps are always lower than the core temps. That 700W "CPU" could be near boiling in that loop.

I think they ARE saying that this unit could keep a 700w CPU at 55C. Utter crap. "While maintaining a HEAT LOAD" which to me is a CPU, gpu NB or any combo of them. I'm claiming false advertising here. But at the same time, I could care less

not my reading either
the heat load is the CPU, must include the wb
perhaps Koolance is in a paper dissipation contest with HW Labs' claims ?
- but I think HW Labs is more honest (just using a 40°C difference)

700W is false
I just completed validating a (genuine) 200W system with a CPU max case temp of 60°C,
a very challenging task to keep within 'reasonable' dimensions and noise
