Default custom mounted fans on heatercore

I mounted these two 120mm fans on my heatercore. How do most people connect the hoses to the inlet and outlet?

Not 100% sure I understand your question but... I slide the hoses over the barbs and use a hose clamp on each connection.

Your fans seem to be missing large parts of your heater core.
Some larger fan shrouds would greatly increace your cooling.

I've always been one to question the whole needing two fans in push/pull config. I personally just run one low speed 120mm fan on my blackice xtreme. I would just lose one of the fans and get a better shroud, or see if you can somehow mount both fans on one side to more effectively use the surface area given to you by your radiator...

As to your hose problem, my question is where did those existing connectors come from, and can you remove them to install some regular barbs? The ones on there look like quick connects.

The fittings on that core are for sllicing the steel lines (fuel, transmission, brake lines )you can get at a car parts store. They are high pressure and require a stiff line, metal or teflon.
I'd take the brass off and clamp to the pipe, or remove the pipes and fit regular barbed ends.

those are compressin fittings from Menards and if I removed them would I have to soldier barbs on to the heatercore?

There should be similar brass fittings with barbed end instead or compression fittings. I don't know how those are attached, but it threaded they will cut silicone hose, so the threads at least can not be used for mounting. If you use screw type hose clamps, get silicone syle clamps (from us boat? marine fittings) as the threads of auto hose clamps will also cut the silicone hose.
If the fittings are soldered on, sweat em off and the new ones on.

I bought a pack that came with two Delrin sleeves and brass hose inserts to stop the tube from getting smashed.
