Default Tygon or Coolsleeves?

Hello i am going to water cool my Shuttle.
I am afraid that the hoses is going to get bent, so it will kill the flow.
I have herd that Coolsleeves are good but Tygon is exaktly the same.
The ondly thing is that the Tygon have to fit this screw connection AG1/4 auf 11/8mm.

Thanks for the help.

Do you have Coolsleeves mixed up with something else? Maybe ClearFlex? Coolsleeves are not tubing but something you wrap around tubing to keep it from kinking. http://www.swiftnets.com/products/coolsleeves.asp

Anyway Tygon is probably the best choice overall. Clearflex has issues with tubing discoloration.

Tygon has so many different sizes so just get the one of the right size for the fitting

If you don't already have, you must buy first larger rings for that type of fittings, due to the thicker walls.

You can get pretty tight bends with CoolSleeves:

I got coolsleeves, silicon primoflex and tygon. Ow yeah, th crappy pvc stuff from home depot.....

Coolsleeves help crappy tubing act like its tygon in my opinion. Skip the cheap stuff and go for cleaflex tygon or primoflex. Primoflex runs to thick though.....

Tygon itself get very good bends but not the best. With coolsleeves you can do some crazy bends.
I say buy the tygon and if it can't handle it you can buy coolsleeves for $5. At this point you are hard press for the loop to work.

If you have a loop that is so extreme that tygon can't handle it IMHO that setup is too tight.

One benefit of the cool sleeves is you can get the same tight radius bends as using thicker wall tubing, at a reduced weight(less strain on mountings of blocks, cards, etc). I have used 1/2"ID x 5/8"OD Tygon w/coolsleeves and it gives me about the same flexibility as 1/2"ID x 3/4"OD primoflex, minus the extra weight.

Same for me. Primoflex with coolsleeves streched over it will get you very tight bends but I think it is to thick overall for a shuttle. Can't be sure till you have it in there.

Your only other option is to use fixed bends (i.e. copper or PVC elbows) at the cost of additional tubing connections.

Yeah, I recomend the CoolSleeves. Using Tygon will give you similar results, but the Coolsleeves really make sure that you won't kink your tubing.
