Default tt bigwater still running hot

running amd xp3000 on a ga 7n400pro2 mb stock reporting temps at 50-51c idle and upto 59c under load

i have reseated rebled system several times ... made sure the loops were properly clear of air, i put a shim on the cpu to provide a more stabile mount and even turned fsb down to 333 ... the most i have accomplished thru all that is to get the temps to stay more consistent (before i would see variables of upto 3c just in idle)

i am using ez-tune 4 build 03.071 for my temp monitor, tried a different monitor reported same temps infact tho i had made no changes to the system when i installed it it seem to cause my system to go up to 55c idle (ez-tune reported same)

so what next?

remove the shim?

I had the same board years ago and temps wasn't always accurate. That board gives bad readings in many cases. I got lower temps on my air heatsink but got better OC on WB?

thank you ... the shim actually helped the temp ... is there a better temp probe method for getting a more acurate reading?

i just retweeked the clamp to provide more pressure and that has also helped instead of idling 50-52c now im seeing 48-50c
