I was wondering about something. I currently have a Swiftech MCW5002-T A64 block with a Criticool Powerplant reservoir and both a BlackIce Xtreme II & Black Ice Xtreme rad.
I want to combine both black Ice rads into a single loop with the Thermo Electric Block and the Criticool reservoir. I currently have an Eheim 1048 pump and was wondering if I should replace it with an MCP655 or keep the 1048 and add an MCP655. The case being used is an old Compaq Proliant 1500 server case (Plenty of room) which is being modified for the Athlon64 X2 4800+ rig I'm putting into it. Thoughts? The Case: I'm painting it black and adding a side window. As well. It's got 5 hotswap spots for SCSI drives (3 will be SATA the other two SCSI 320). Take into account the water will have a long trajectory to go. ![]() |

Well here's an idea of what the case looks like.
The pictures are large.. but heck 56k is not that widely used amongst the computer elite anyways. the last picture shows you the spot where the Black Ice Xtreme II rad will sit. And the bottom of the case (since cold air falls while warm air rises). ![]() ![]() ![]() |

There are no PQ graphs for either radiator, and the block isn't reviewed by RoboTech for the PQ graph, so I just can't help you.
Seeing as you own most of the gear, plug it all together and see what sort of flow rate you get (timed filling of a bucket of known volume) and if its: 1) Less than 2 LPM I'd buy a MCP655 2) Between 2 and 3.5 LPM I's only buy a MCP655 if I was hunting the last degree or fraction there-of 3) More than 3.5 LPM I would be happy.
