Hi guys,
First go at watercooling so I purchased PA160, 7/16 tubing and a used Storm G5 + AquaXtreme 50Z. Now I set it all up, but one of the bolts on the top - when you turn it its loose and it just goes around in circles, so I guess there is no tread left.. So it means water is dripping out of one corner ![]() Erm... Help? Tried removing rubber seal and reseating it but water still coming through, guess without the bolt holding it really tight its just too loose and water leaks through... ![]() |

OK guys bit of an update,
I realised that you have 3 washers before the block, so by removing 2 on each so just screw + 1 washer I have complete grip and can add tension. Unfortunately it still leaks. So I guess this means rubber seal aint working. Before it was leaking worse, it also seems to only leak when an air bubble moves through block... So its less of a leak but still a leak so help! Any ideas? |

If you have a G5, Cathar almost always if he has spare parts will replace.
E-mail or PM him, you may have better luck at OCA or XS or Little River directly... I don't think he will acknowledge anything from this site anymore... at least for a long time. |

the problem is likely to be a mis-machined o-ring groove. Cathar specified a certain hole depth + width, and the machinists second guessed him on it. Theres a good chance you'll have to send it back to re-machining.

One thing I noticed, it only leaks at one end, and it only leaks on that end at a certain angle after a certain amount of time... Odd... |

oh - woops
sorry, didnt read your original post right, its probably not the oring thats the issue. You'll need to have the hole reamed out + threaded and put a bigger bolt into it.
