Default Basic Block Designs

Hi,

I want to mess around with block construction.... I have a bunch of old part so I can make a folding farm. I want to run multiple systems on 1 loop. I also want to use as little money as possible.

Any suggestions on block designs? I have no access to a mill and I wouldn't want to use money to get the blocks milled anyways.

Hi,well... if you have a drill press,if not,you can buy one for 50-60 bucks (like the 10" size from harbour frieght)you could get your C110 copper flatbar from onlinemetals.com,and go with the tried and true "#rotor" block design(search procooling)

or if all you have is a hand drill and vise you could do an oldschool cross drilled block-actually easiest on a drillpress(maybe search overclockers.com),you can use copper for the tops, or a clear polycarbonate ,which should be around a 1/2" thick for best results working it by hand(also available at online metals.com or usplastic.com),hope that helps watercooling the farm!!

So you have no equipment? But are willing to buy something cheap.

How many blocks do you want to make and what sort price is as little as possible?
