i am making a block and planning to use o-ring instead of just glue everything together. Anyway, i ran into few problems. First, i am using stock cord, which mean i have to cut it into the size i need and "glue" them. From what i know, there is some kind of tool which weld them together. but it cant afford something like that. is there any other way to do this? Second, how do you guys make the goove for the o-ring(other than CNC)? the one that i am trying to make is much like a rectangle. 90 degree turn is probably a really bad idea. Do you guys have any suggestion on how to make those corners? thanks in advance

As far as making your o-ring... many swimming pool/spa places have kits where you can take one of a larger circumference, cut to size, and use included "welding cement" to join. I've used this method in plumbing and spa/pool repairs... and have never had a "bad" make. I'm sure computer water cooling pressures are no more then either of the afore mentioned applications.
As far as grooving... can't really help you there... cnc or good hand done milling seems to be the only good way. Oh, and your right... a true tight 90 degree turn isn't feasible... sounds like a guarenteed leak.
