I'd try it on a water cooled PC; I'm sure it's worth the silence.

Gawd, I'm still planning on using that blower from a Ford Mustang on mine (undervolted to 5 v)...

I would totally use that for a chimney in a 100% passive system, just to avoid the local heat buildups that could happen with zero air flow...
