This heatsink needs to be put on the Pro/Mini video card. You could possible have it anodized to match the OEM heatsink color.
![]() P.S. That heatsink takes up 2 1/2 PCI slots. And covers the ram. ------------------ Watercooled K6-2 450 at 600 [This message has been edited by mfpmax (edited 01-17-2001).] |

hahahah OMG actually this HSF on the Ultra is only warm to the touch. I will prolly bolt a Blorb on it in the mini but when/if its in DH3 a Water block will be bolted to it.

dotn't turn your back on the machine, or it may look for a better coolant... human blood... seemingly harmles silicon tubes getting a life and teeth of their own, snaking up their unwary owner's back, ready to dig deep into th brain for more coolant...
scary, isn't it? |

Hey Joe, I took another look at your card and noticed they put (mounting)holes around the ram. I almost messed my shorts(had to take a shower though). I should've signed on as a staff member and worked on a way of strapping heatsink/waterblocks to EVERYTHING. Cause Steve(Hypotermia)'s setup doesn't give me the "GOOD LORD" factory as much as seeing stuff strapped down with bolts and wingnuts. That reminds me, I need to goto NASA and have my heatsink soon to be a waterblock drilled and tapped for mounting to that video card I posted a picture for.
PS. I added green dye(too much) to the water and it REALLY would look like something from aliens. ------------------ Watercooled K6-2 450 at 600 |

Infact a ProCooling Staff Member HAS worked on cooling the ram on the video cards in a pretty serious fasion. Unfortunately his CAT killed the card ( knocked it off the table). The hardest part would be remove'n the RamSinks with out ripping the ram off. SO. I sent an email asking VisionTek for a Naked Ultra - No HSF, and No Ram sinks. and then let the ProCooling staffer have at it again ( this time without the Cat in the room). He should be posting his article about the video card disaster soon. Yes I did also notice the mounting holes around the ram sinks ![]() ------------------ C-ya Joe - Owner/Editor www.ProCooling.com Where the Completely Addicted Come to Cool Off Somebody set up us the bomb. Joke or not, it still doesn't give "me" that "GOOD LORD" factor I have come to expect. Well, not from Steve, but from some place. Steve Foster and his systems come to mind though.

No no no, I meant that Blizzard cooling deal Steve did was a Joke ( as in he thought it was nice, but in reality it blows)

ha!
Don't even get me started on OChideout products, I have never and will never touch anything from them. I mean that 5x12 radiator costing like $69 when you could get it for much less, then they finally reduced the price, but then they came out with the Fusion radiator kit with 2 120s that was WAY overpriced. I'm not even gonna mention how generic and poor looking the watercooling systems are to me...ARGH! ------------------ Watercooled K6-2 450 at 600 |

My thoughts exactly, But It hink you were being awful kind to them. I think OCH's products are quite a few rungs below that even.
But thats just me. OCH/CPUFx is to water cooling what those big gay ass plastic wings people glue to thier rice grinders are to cars. ( 99% of those wings/park benches on the back of the cars are NON functional and supply no down force.. so you can see the relation to OCH's "pretty" yet hardly functional setups.) ------------------ C-ya Joe - Owner/Editor www.ProCooling.com Where the Completely Addicted Come to Cool Off Somebody set up us the bomb. |

Hehe. Running nylon hose through a freaking hole in metal isn't considered water-cooling. It is just air cooling w/ the hole blocked. Lol. Did Steve really think that the heat from the RAM would transfer from the metal through the hose?!?! Lol!
