Default Best Waterblock for Pelt-Watercooling

Hi there,

I am planning on purchasing a pelt (172 or 220W) and I was wondering which is the best Waterblock to cool it off.

Thx in advance.

if it is just one pelt, I'd go for the maze1c or maze2.2 if you wanted to go 2x 172w, you'd have to go maze2.2

also bear in mind the 220w is a 48mm pelt, so you can't run two of them

Can I buy the maze 2.2 and run it with one pelt for a couple of months before I buy a second pelt to use ?

And also, since I will first build my Water cooling setup before buying any pelts, will the Maze 2.2 work without any pelts on it ?

Thx in advance.

Yes and Yes though you can't run a 2.2 without the coldplate afaik, unlike the 2.1.

the 2.2 can work with one or two pelts
the 2.1 can work with none or one pelt
the 2 can work with no pelts

any one know if Fixit's ever going to release his Spir@l that supports Pelts? That may be a block looking into as well.

he may, but at this stage there is more than enough demand for the normal block.

you can make one yourself though

i requested (directly to fixitt) if he could fashion a coldplate for me and he did. i've had the coldplate for a while now but just havnt had the motivation to setup everything for it... condensation prevention, psu, wiring etc...
