Default Harumph... this guy is TWICE as cool as me!

Geez and I thought I was just so darn cool with my SGI flatpanel widescreen monitor (well... I am...). Look at this guy's setup.

most dual head graphics cards are pci though. If you want good dual head you need to go to the radeon 8500 or gf4

You guys think Dual Head games are finally gonna take off?

I remember reading a few years ago that all games that would
benifit from dual head support would have dual head support,
and well...I've got a pair of graphix grade CRTs on me desk,
but hardly any use for them...

I think it would be cool to play an RPG and have your character
view and special commands on a second screen.

Or if you could put two monitors as damn close to eachother
as possble and have a "periferal view" quake III or better yet
something like Ghost Recon or Counter Strike where people
walking up to you from the side would be very detrimental
to your (virtual) health.

I was lookin for dual head support when my buddy was
showing me how good he was in Combat Flight Sim II. I never
saw the bastard.

And having my rear view mirror, or with triple head I could have
a main winshield and two side windows in Need for Speed
Porsche!

Oh well, just me dreaming about more submersive games...

lol at the cartoon.

I can see in games like Command and Conquer (whatever version they are up to now), fps, and Flight sims you'd greatly benefit, I know there are a couple of Flight Sim's I play where I'd love to have another view, maybe from the enemy to me, then the main one being my cockpit or something like that

I know... and that's why until they make a AGP pro card that has two GeForce 4 processors, and 256mb of memory (128 for each GPU)... I'll never get a dual head card. I need frame rate, I need intense graphics! I need to play Tribes 2 at 1280x1024 w/ maxed everything!!!!

BTW... cheap plug, but my Tribe (for Tribes 2... we are hAuS) is challenging for #1 spot for the 12 man legue on TWL.

Eh. I could care less. I'm not into games really. I just want the damn dual SGI monitors . But on the topic of games... You could have a really good AGP card outputting graphics to the main monitor. That's where you see the main action and stuff, and the PCI card could output less quality graphics on the second screen that wasn't as intense so you wouldn't really notice. I don't think dual monitor games will ever "take off" as it just isn't practical for most people. BUT... I sure hope that a bit more support creeps into games for sure!

Dual moniters won't take off until them make LCD panels that can plug into eachother side-by-side... and only leave a small line between them...

That way it's like your on a wide screen moniter or something.
