there was a commercial for almond Joy candie with that. remember?
<song>Somethimes you feel like a nut....some times you dont</song> and when they sing "sometimes you feel like a nut" theres this guy in a trench coat standing on a curb next to a really hot chick. theres a puddle and the guy takes off his coat and puts it on the puddle so the lady doesnt have to step in the puddle. Then she looks at him like a retard and walks away. Then they cut back to where they were standing on the curb and sing "Sometimes you dont" and the guy just looks at the lady and walks on. the comercial was for Almond joy (a coconut candie thats chocolate covered and has almond) then theres also another candy, i forget the name, by the same people, called XXXjoy. It was the same as almond joy, minus the almonds (ie just chocolate covered coconut).

The other candy was called Mounds. I think Mounds and Almond Joy are still around.

LOL
I remember those commercials.(in Canada, we mostly watch US tv stations) It's the way superart worded it...that's whats familiar to me. And for the record, Twix is the only candy bar with the cookie crunch. |

Yup. it's mounds... I never got that. Almond Joy has mounds in it... Mounds is totally without "mound"!
I would have called the moundy almond candy "Mounds", and the moundless candy "Coconut Joy".

Yeah the flat one being called mounds is kinda funny. I don't think "mounds" is a very appealing name either.
Well, maybe in a breast sense... but when I hear mound, I think of a pile of manure, or dirt or something. Pitcher's mound for example. |
