well.. i tried to hold down a chipset cooler with wire once =) didnt really work =/

even though it is incredibly ghetto, the design itself might give fairly decent temps...

yea it's pretty ghetto, but cool , only thing I'd change in the design would make one of the pipes extend almost to the end of the of the inside of the block, to stop the water simply taking the shortest path...

that hold-down simply is the best.... then again the Wright brothers had a pretty damn Ghetto looking contraption they called a flying mashine, and look what became of it....

I agree that it wont be winning any beauty pageants, but it might produce some decent temps. Directing the flow of water would most likely be a significant improvement. It's hard to say until you see some metrics.
