Chip had a bunch of these back when OCWC was still around, even in its shady days, but I can only find one of these @ Infinipro, and there's is some weird plastic reservoir thing with 3 inputs, 1 output, and less than 3/8" ID fittings. Does anyone know who makes these 12v pumps? I understand they are louder and rattle more than 120v ones, but I'd like to look into them. LMK.

They were 12v sump pumps for boats, you can get them at Wal-Mart. Don't expect them to last much over a month.

why do you need a 12v pump? have you considered a 12v - 115v inverter to power a 115v pump?

Brad, I'll probably end up doing that but inverters are pretty bulky for my small little Chilli Pro case. Know of any small ones?

Just run a wire from the switch of the case's PSU to a Molex. Use the female end so that there is no danger of touching live wire. You can get 2 pin molex type connectors at Radio Shack; you won't confuse those with the normal DC ones of the PSU. Then just cut the plug of your pump and put the male molex on it and plug it into the one you wired up from PSU. No more bulky than any other solution...

ah. Fair enough I guess. They have to be submerged though right? So you really aren't saving THAT much space.

If I get a 140w 12v - 120v inverter, I take it that my current 350w enermax power supply wont be enough to power my system... true?

Kevin: Checkout this post http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/sho...&threadid=2330 . I've been running this pump for a couple months. I have a 10 amp PWM on the pump to control the speed and noise. Which is not much louder than a 120mm case fan. You may be able to get the other pump from jabsco now.
BTW: When are you going to get time to finsh the BlackIce write up. I also have a YY-cube that I have finshed the inside but I still have to get the green cold cathiod tube's and glue up the outside. It's name is "Borg Tactical Cube 641". Here's a link to the picture I'm using to do the artwork. http://www.ccdump.org/images/tactcube.jpg I will post pics when I finsh it.

Most of the 12v pumps I've seen have very high gph ratings for their size, but then Danner pumps seem to have quite a bit of power for their size.
kevin, depends, but I doubt any pump will need a 140w power supply

Yeah, my rio 1400 is rated 17.5W, and watts are watts, reguardless of voltage.

700gph? woah... So is thing REALLY silent? I mean most 12v pumps are quite rattly and stuff. Also, this has such a high gph. Plus, the price is right. How big is this thing? Any last comments on it before I splurge and buy?

This one is loud without the PWM and is still not quietier than fans. I use the PWM to lower the voltage down to about 9vdc and pulse the power on and off. If you look at the picture in the other thread the pump in mounted in a 4X4 marine electrical box.
Like I said in the other thread I would like to get the jabsco pump but I'm having a hard time finding one, as this is a new product. I got an e-mail form them yesterday, I'm trying to getting an engneering sample and test it out.

So what are the approximate dimensions of it? Also, can it be submerged?

It's about 1.5 to 2 inchs in diameter and about 3 to 3.5 tall. It can't be submerged. Here is a ms paint drawing of my system, the res is 4x4x4. In this picture you can see the stem going to the bottom of the res. The stem is all one piece of the pump.

I know that I shouldn't say this, ever, ever
but CpuFX does sell 500 GPH 12V pumps (in a res) But they prolly will crap out on you, and don't expect quality, nor good servise. does anyone know what that black stuff is that they seal everything up with, I need to fix a leak in my inline temp probe. -WireX
