how would you go about emptying a closed loop system. What I am thinking is just to unplug the exaust end of the pump and put the hose in a jug. Let the intake pull the remaining water and dump it this way. Will this completely empty everything out?

do just that, but make sure the case is on an angle so the pci slots don't end up swimming with the water wetter

yeah that would work, I'd suggest let gravity do the work for you tho. open a hose thats connected to anything, and make sure the endpoint of the hose is the lowest point.
If you want to forcefully dry it out, use something like dust off plus sprayed in the tube. (this may freeze water but it makes a lot of air) |
