Default 8port switch/router.... decisions decisions

well i've been looking into getting an 8 port switch/hub for myself for a while and i decided to get a router while i was at it, you know go all the way while i'm at it....

there's the linksys here or the smc barricade here

cant decide which one would be best for me. the linksys just looks so damn nice but the smc has a built in print server. i guess i could just network the printer but then that computer always has to be turned on.... which isnt a problem with my computer but still.....

SMC has been around forever, you can trust their hardware.

Here's a good place for test info on routers I personally prefer the newer Linksys for the cost.

However, if security is your biggest issue and you want the best firewall in the router, then I would say a SonicWall... but they are $$$$.

Hardware routers suck! You need to have your router cabable of runing Seti@Home!
