I've seen this thread here and there. I'll take as an example our preferred WB out there, the DD Maze2.
DangerDen Maze2 is quite heavy indeed, and even in a single configuration you're likely to slightly bend your mobo while fastening those springs - dont think you'll avoid it, bending those puny things is so easy. In a dual setup config, i'd take some kind of hard metallic plate, maybe 2mm thick at least, and large enough to go under all 8 mounting holes. I'd then drill those holes and stick some insulating material on the plate, before mounting it together with the nylon bolts (feel free to buy metal bolts BTW, those nylon bolts are so fragile). I dont think a square plate would have clearance for mobo mounting stands so be prepared to dremel out the plate. This way you'll spread out WB weight evenly, and your mobo will thank you. |

well, my father is running a dual athlon water cooled setup. he opted for regular blocks(in his case d-tek) it works quite nicely and minimal stress is put on the board.
