i got my aircooled setup running 24/7, and i wanna have the cooling without the noise, so watercooling is the answer and its the winter so it would be great to put the radiator outside of my window for some crazy temps ;0. heres my rig outside in 30 deg weather. http://www.angelfire.com/linux/n00b0/2.73ghz.JPG
so should i be able to run watercooling 24/7 without any issues? that is the question. |

Jesus, man, the image doesn't work!!
![]() I'd actually like to know this too. But from my very limited experence, the only issue that may arise is the pump. Most pumps aren't really designed to work 24/7 (although I'm probably wrong). |

Actually, most aquatic pumps are designed to be running 24/7 rather than turned on and off. It makes sense in a wacky sort of way, since an aquarium owner would doubtfully enjoy coming back from a vacation to see a container of dead fish. There are some pumps (like 12V bilge pumps) that are NOT made to be constantly in operation, but most pumps for aquariums should not have a problem running 24/7 (Eheim, Iwaki, etc.).

My rig has been running 24/7 for almost 2 years in one form or another, no problems what so ever other than user error.
