Default Final Setup: Opinions/Advice... :)

Okay, here's my so called, "final" setup. After spending countless hours, with tools spread all over the place and being grimmy, I felt that it was time to stop modding and start cleaning up my place and thinking of new mods to attempt... Here's a rough sketch of what everything running looks like... Tell me what ya think, like, don't like and what could be potentially better etc... thanks

*The Pump (Via 1300) is suspended from the res, as to aid in vibration and hum reduction...but you can still here it... damn VIA!

I'll post some numbers when I get them all together but here's a few...

1600@1904/1.888v/ = ~108W.... maxing less than 40C (Don't have exact specs cause my mobo probe doesn't want to read below 40C) Somewhere around 34C with amb around 23-25C

Looks good to me either than the pump placement. Just to clarify, do you plan on having the pump be suspended in mid air? Why not just bolt it somewhere to your case with some foam underneath to help get rid of vibration? I did that with an Eheim and it worked like a charm.

Make the res internal.

(But I get the feeling that we've been over this before...)

Hey, thanks for the reply: Yes the pump is suspended in mid air from the res. It REALLY helps with the vibration and doesn't take up any space that would be used for nothing else

BigBen: I thought about doing that before I made the res, but my case doesn't allow for it. Also, the external one always gets the questions going from people, then when I tell them to take a look and they SEE/hear the water flowing up and spreading across the plexiglass top, then 100000 questions come about how, why, what, etc... it's my own personal "candy." I'm thinking of getting a larger case with a much thicker gauge aluminum, cause mine is thin and adds to the nasty 60Hz humm from the pump etc... But again I ALWAYS welcome your advice

The block is of my own creation and has done fairly well, but fairly is not good enough so I'm always looking for new ideas. But with NO drill press or milling machine type tools, I'm stuck using hand tools and stuff, which works pretty well, but takes some thinking and TIME! But I'm going to get a drill press soon...any recommendations for around $150? Thanks all
