Thanks Puzzdre.

mfpmax. Thanks for the info, but that didn't work either. It must be something I'm doing. I'll try to get it resolved. theforumisdown.com worked at O/C so I must be missing something.

So for now just click the link to webshots.

I've got friends that get it to work with Imagestation....

But I can personally see the images by loading them elsewhere and hitting reload...TheForumIsdown don't do that...

Shiney btw.

hmm, i was looking into buying almost xactly the same bench press. was woried about the clamping always needing to be redone after every hole. now this is the first time i hear of xy vise, if such a vise would exist, that would make this whole project makable in a fraction of the time.

sry to keep spam/bothering ya, but care to post a pic of the vise used?

thx alot already tho

This is the vise I use, but it's a bit sloppy. A good X,Y table would be better to use, but there quite a bit more costly.

That should work just fine.

As for the XY table (compund sliding table) they can be found at any machine supply place. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=47838

Yeah I feel weight is an issue too. I take the vise off the press table when not in use because that vise is heavy. I also have a cheapo press I bought off Ebay for $16, but the table is only 6" and would not suport the size of the vise. This vise is overkill in size for what I use it for. You could go with the cheap press and a smaller X,Y vise and should be good to go. The copper isn't as hard on the press as you might think as long as you keep the bits oiled during cutting so the a cheapo press would work just fine.

I have to get some Copper. I can make one of these blocks in minutes with the mill. With the success Rotor has with his blocks i need to try one. Another project on the board...

SUCCESS!!!

Ambient: 23°c
System: 27°c
CPU idle: 30°c
CPU full load running toast: 35°c

Well I'm happy with this one so far. I'll be keeping an eye out for leaks for a few days though as this is the first time I've used the goop bolt down system.

Oh yeah. Current water temp is 27.5°c
