Default Whoops...cracked my pump inlet!

Had a slight leak that was easily fixed with goop...and I decided to put it back together...but I found another leak...tried to solve it with brute force...guess it was too much. I'm hoping its not too bad...and will last me until next week or mid December.

Remember kids...don't over tighten your clamps and fittings...

Epoxy/silicone a bit of Cu pipe over top of it?, there looks like there's still room to get a clip/clamp on there, is the other side worse, does it go back to the pump body any closer?...

I put it back the way I had it with a new piece of tubing...it ddin't leak as bad...but still leaked when run...so I siliconed it...hopefully it'll hold for awhile.

The whole inlet is pretty much cracked all around...after this weekend...I may cut the cracked part and see how far it goes back...its only the inlet...so I might try and rescue it. If not...i'll be going down to a MaxiJet 900.

All back together...with a new low idle temp.

27 room
35 CPU

Glad I had plans on resitting the block in the first place...

I gotta find a better pet store. Went today to get a new pump because I knew my silicone job wasn't gonna do the job...and I was right.

So I go down there, and they have one 1200 left and 3 900s...I check the price for the 900...$29, I check the UPC code, yup, its for the 900. Check the 1200 and its price...$31.

Oh well, guess i'm getting the 1200 again.

Now to repair the broken one and put it aside for another project.

I have 2 Danner Supreme MagDrive 350 's set up in a system and I noticed a leak from one of the pump covers.... damn cheap plastic they use on those pumps, the actual mounting lug on the motor housing broke off and caused the cover to seperate from the housing. I'm having a heck of a time fixing it as the housing is the epoxy sealed part encasing the motor. I guess I should clamp the 2 sections and use permatex to hold it together.

Not real pleased with the durability of these Supreme pumps.... have heard of others having problems with the Danners.

Yes, the plastic is indeed cheap...I broke off the broken bits and it came off so easily...it was almost like...soft.

Its so far back I'm not sure I can epoxy anything onto whats left...it'll proably live again in a tank setup instead of inline.
