Default ClearFlex indentification

Hi guys. I just got a sample of ClearFlex 60 (3/8" ID x 1/2" OD) from Harrington Plastics. It doesn't seem significantly better than plain vinyl tubing imo. Now I'm thinking it's just plain vinyl. It's super hard to fit on 1/2" barbs and it kinks pretty easily. The big thing that gets me suspicious is that it doesn't have any identifying writing along the tubing; it's just plain and clear w/o any identification of what kind of tubing it is. So is this real ClearFlex? or did i just get plain vinyl tubing?

Doesn't sound like the propertoes clearflex should have. Its quite possible you've got the wrong stuff.

Any brand-name tubing (Tygon, ClearFlex) has proper markings, which leaves no doubt.

That's not ClearFlex 60 tubing. Here's whats on mine:
"ClearFlex 60(TM) Premium PVC Tubing LAB/FDA/USP VI-MAX. Temp 160F" the print is in blue.
Also it's 3/8"ID x 5/8" OD. Somebody either made a mistake or screwed you.

peace.

well thanks for the replies guys. it was a free sample anyways so i'm not at a great loss...except of the blister on my thumb trying to force the stupid tubing on the barbs... i guess i'm gonna have to grab me some REAL clearflex now.

You will notice a vast difference between real tygon/clearflex and vinyl.
On the front page, cooltechnica is practically giving the stuff away for $0.75/foot.

I got mine a few days ago. When it came, it was about 25F from shipping (I live in WI) and it was only slightly more flexible than vinyl. Much nicer at room temp.
