Default couple quick and easy questions

1) how smooth should a wb bottom be? I ask this becuase i see on here people using 1200+ grit sandpaper getting thier contacting edge mirror clean. But when you look at artic silvers site (somewhere on there) it says to have a 600 grit sandpaper finish. which one should it really be?

2) anyone have a url or a picture they could post of the northbridge chipset hole configuration?

3) same as above but for nvidia and amd based cards?

that should be about it. thanks.

puzzdre, thanks for picture, but now i'm even more curious because i found this at overclockers

http://www.overclockers.com/tips697/

it says 60 :P and when your dealing with that much of a difference in dimensions you can get some problems

i heard billA state somewhere that the mirrortype finish doesn't get u the best temps, a flat bottom does. so the shine is irrelevant, u can get it with convex or concave bottom.

if u can get a 600grit finish, and perfectly flat plane. u r set to go

OK, i found out a couple of things if any are a repost sorry.

first a radeon 9700 hole configuration is the same as a geforce 2 setup. just remember to remove the shim that is installed.

next is a descent PDF from amd, hope it helps someome out.
