You said that the HD block (nice work BTW) was supposed to cool down 'the bearing'. Do you mean, the engine casing that more or less sticks out of the bottom of many drives ? That means, sticking the cold plate to the bottom of the HDD, along with electronics ?

well i dont really know? i made it for a forum member (OCNZ) and thats how he wanted it. it is desinged to go on the electronics side, i guess his hard drive has the bearing sticking out on that side.

its not quite how i would have made it if it was for me

kind of hard to explain but i'll try:
i used a 2mm mill bit. I got a small wooden board and banged a small nail throught it and then got my bit of plastic and drilled a hole for the nail through it. then i clamped the wooden board to the drill press and then rotate the plastic around the nail while the drill press it down and i get a perfect circle.

understand?

The blue blocks barbs are actually too close together for my tubing and hose clamps what a dummass, so i'll probably have to sell it (can you sell something home made?) or give it away

A new 40mm quare northbridge block is on the way and i'll use same blue acrylic because i love the colour
