Default WTB: K6-III 450, also 32Mb edo RAM sticks

looking for a K6-III 450±
not abused, reasonable price
(actually need a PowerLeap socket 7 adaptor also, for the K6)

I have some 64Mb sticks but chip can't recognize them
swap for 32s ?
- say four 64s for six 32s ?

I have a K6-350 (100bus) right now and if you can wait about 2 weeks, I will have a K6-550 w/ MB

Bill:

As I owe you $$ for testing gear but am (relatively) rich in hardware....

Any interest in a more "modern" setup? Would be AMD only; only Intel part I have is an old celeron300a

weelll, this seems to be one of those 'good ideas' gone awry

I had/have an old Deskpro 4000 and thought to use it for the DAQ system as it has 4 ISA slots and all DAQ cards are much cheaper ISA than PCI

bought some 64Mb sticks of edo -> but the damned thing won't recognize them, need to swap for 32s

the P133 with 87Mb is VERY slow under W2K, so I thought to go for a bit more than the P200 which the mobo supports
- thats what got me into this PowerLeap thing . . .

yea, I know - trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear
but the operative phrase here is 'cheap'

Would downgrading to NT4 be a solution?

prefer not as all the others are W2K
and even with the 133 it runs ok, just opening the bloatware that's a chore
(leave the box on !)

hrm. It almost sounds like you need what you initially asked for, and not what I am trying to sell.

Billa: the MB is an FIC VA-503+. It supports both SIMMS and DIMMS, 1 agp, 3 PCI, 3 ISA. I can not vouch for the stability of the board but considering that it is the only MB that I have that supports Super Socket 7 chips, I might as well just had you the 550 and the MB for the same price as the 550

How much you want for it?

BTW this system is comming from a kids machine that hopefully I will be replacing with a Ghz celeron system shortly. That is the reason for the 2 week delay.
