Default A question about material thickness

You've probaly seen my copper cap block posted here. The material is 3-4mm thick, I was wondering, is this thick enough to dissapate heat to the far edges of the copper cap? Im guessing it is since I've heard some ppl on here metion they have 1.2mm bases.
