I don't think those were milled. Looks like they were casted and then ground. I mill isn't going to replicate something like that. Maybe a metal Lathe could get it close though. Probably have to go to a local machine shop and see if they have the tooling.

Good luck.

I think the bowls couldbe. At least the outer part. If the inner part is a must to have bowl shapped then a lathe would probably be needed. Might take both. Going to take a good mill to do that kind of steel. I don't think anyone on these forums has that kind of equipment. Could be wrong though.

You're gonna struggle to machine tool steel, considereing that's what the bits will be made of.

Tell me more about what you are using them for, what keeps going wrong with them and I'll see if I can help. Suggestions that is, as I can't really produce any of these.

Have you looked into getting those heat treated? Usually pieces are fired in a carbon atmosphere, and areas you don't want hardened are painted to keep the carbon from enpregnating that area. Looks like they take a pounding though, hardening might make them too brittle.

The bowls look like they could be turned pretty easily, those other tools though would need turned and tooled. Which end keeps cracking, rounded or chiseled? It looks like they would be easier to make if you considered it 3 pieces-round end, handle & chisel. If the three pieces were threaded you could have only the problem area duplicated and replace it as needed.

What are you using those for? They look like mortar/pedestal setups, what ya pulvarizing in them?

peace.
