update:

well, i lapped my block (to see how flat it was, and turned out to be convex) then took it to school with the printed out design (above)

it took one bloody hour to set the damn thing up ! LOL

i have to hacksaw through 20mm x 20mm iron bar to fill up the spacec underneathe my copper block in the vice (the copper is a soft metal and will move in the vice)

the block when i got it was 50x82x19

i wanted 50x80x19

so i spent abit of time getting it down to 79 as they had given me an extra 2mm to compensate for the bloody HUGE saw cut in the side.... but its all cool its gone

i will basically just keep reposting the following pic (red being the place of what has been milled out)

cheers

update:

its been awhile !

ive had to change the design ALOT which kind of sucks, and wont be as good as before...

also ive discovered milling is hard !

the mill im using moves when you drill down........ not good

and it can also pull into the metal when you are cutting alot of surface area... :S

so anyway, i think 2, 3 more weeks
