jet design, how to waterproof the different plexi layers

i know that an o-ring is quite effective for the copper - plexi bond. but what about all the plexi layers?

Use an appropriate plexi adhesive, the solvent based one will give a permanent bond.

I have used clear pvc plumbing cement in the past with good results but practice on some scrap peices first.

also make sure you have even pressure across all the plastic until it has bonded and it is free from grease.

atm i just went along with the cheapass plexi knockoff i still had lying about. was a complete bitch, but it's in the past now.

(ikea is 40km, couldn't be bothered, although the GF would have been exhilerated if i went, u know girls and ikea).

i foresee some problems getting it all waterproof, but with the cement type glue i found an hour ago, it should be ok.

(edit; in fact the barb area is 4 layers of 2mm plexi)

like i said a few posts before make sure you have good even pressure over all of the plexi when you glue it.
It might be best to glue one layer at a time and let it set as the glue instructs.

i just glued 2 10mm layers and didnt have enough pressure in the middle and you can see a crystal like pattern. Not sure if it will give me any problem yet.

hmm, what about screwing them all against the block, that should give some even pressure.

thats what i did but it was not enough. do you have a clamp or vice ? you could screw the prices together without the base and then clamp the center.

and for the copper base to the plexi top some clear silicon sealent works very well especialy when you screw the top to the base.
