Alternative waterblockdesign

I have been thinking about this waterblock concept, and I do not know if I will be able to manufacture it, or how it will perform. The thing is, i have only got a drill on a stand, none of those CNC machine you all use. Havn't even got a dremmel.

As you can see, my paint skills are rater appaling (believe me, this IS the best i can do ), but they were only made so one could get the impression of the concept.

If I will be able to manufacture the block, I was wondering about what measurements off holes and such would be the best.

What size would be optimal for the holes (horisontical/vertical)?

How big should the "gap" of copper between the bottom hole and the die be?

How many holes should one make (horisontical/vertical), and how should they be arranged?

How big a area should the vertical holes cover, only right above the die or more?

uhmm, yeah the place that says "kobber lid" on the drawing should say "copper lid"...

If you have any questions I'll be happy to elucidate

Interesting, but I'd drop the cone inlet: it's not forcing the flow near the cups in the baseplates.

Also, you'll have to make sure that the inlet and outlets are balanced, otherwise your outlets will suck the coolant right out, instead of letting it do its business over the core area.

An original idea. I like it.
