Default What Size?

Hi Everybody!

I'm going to buy a IC-7 Max 3 when it comes out and a P4 2.4C aswell.

I'm gonna watercool it but i'm new to the scene.
As i am pretty handy with engineering I will want to make my own waterblock.

Does any one know measurements for this processer and holes in the mobo, if anyone has a working diagram it would help a lot!!

Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly accepted!!

I want try and make it before i get my new stuff so i can keep myself busy!!!

The heatspreader on the P4 is 30MM by 30MM.

I have no clue, I've never taken off the heatspreader. But remember the middle is the most important.

I'll remember that.

I havent came up with any designs yet just got cad but thinking of flowing the water in directly onto the center of the waterblock.

Have you made any and how have they turned out?
Also am I correct in thinking that the distance between the flow chamber an the actual heat spreader is better when closer like 1mm or .75m?

Neo, no I have not made any, but I do have some designs for one I would like to make. But I have decided in going with phase-change (Mach II, almost have the money...) Personally, I think, my designs are pretty good, but need some work. Maybe you can pick up where I left off.

I would gladly continue on your legacy and am quite good a engineering so you wont be disapointed, but im new enough to watercooling and pc modifying so any info is good.
What program did you use for your designs and i hope were talking about pure copper w/b's?

What is phase change MachII that you are considering?

LoL I wish it were a legacy. Its just one design and a few unuploaded follow ups. I know reasonably enough about block design. Also I used photoshop which is bad, so you need to use ACAD that way you can like "tape" it on to the copper block. Making it easier to machine the block. Yes a block should be pure copper and the top lexan (spelling?) Phase-change is a way to get negative degrees. Basically it changes liquid into gas and back into liquid. Making it really, really cold in one spot and hot in one spot. Http://www.chip-con.com for more info.

Yes they are because peltiers are different. These use compressors, evaporators, condensors, stuff like that. Basically, its just different. PM me your e-mail and I'll send you waht I have.
