Got 2 Tbred 1700+'s in today, and the DVD's of Smokey and the Bandit II and Canon Ball Run
![]() ![]() When pH was in town I picked up Smokey and the Bandit on DVD and it was a riot while drinking... so I picked these up for his return trip to Madison in the future ![]() Also ordered a Dell 1900FP 19" LCD today... to replace a baddly off KDS 19" flat tube CRT. From what I saw the LCD aint too bad for games when I played with one a few days ago. Its got a nice 500:1 conrast ratio, and very little ghosting.

Hey Joe,
Nice summer for toys isn't it? Easy on the brew though, for me at least. Don't much care for the after affects. |

Well heres the deal... the Tbreds were the latest TbredA offering from AMD.... not the hot TbredB's ( when I say hot, I mean faster than all ****).
This is a low voltage TbredA, which means it runs cold, but still pretty nice. I have it running at 1730Mhz @ 1.65v and its cold. so I can make the rig quiet, and still carry some punch ( was at 2x 1.4Ghz Tbird before, now I am at 2x 2100+ speeds with what the mobo thinks are MP's) Its nice since now I am using MP look alikes the Tyan board is happy as a clam to run them ![]()

Well Dell nicely ****ed up the order so I am more than likely NOT getting a Dell 1900FP now. going to go with a Samsung 191T for cheaper and better warranty. Its the exact same monitor as the 1900FP
hehe looked and none at 19" were low response time (16ms) that were under 1200$ This ones 25ms, so its not terrible ![]()

I didnt mean I bought a 1200$ 19" hehe I bought a 630$ 25ms 19" but since a 16ms costs 2x more I was saying that the 630$ wasnt a bad deal for such a small increase in response time.

I could get two 21" CRT`s for the same price though...
hmmm, two 21" would be NICE... as long as space is not an issue. ![]()

Space, heat, power, nice dose of radaition, etc...
hehehe I will take 1 19" TFT over 2 so so 21";s any day. a GOOD 21" will cost close to 400 - 500$ ( good Sony 21). most other 21"s are made with pretty crappy inards.. just look at KDS.. they have a trinitron tube, but all the backing electronics suck.

Joe, been looking at this monitor myself.
[list=1][*]Where did you buy from?[*]How many defective pixels, their color, and location?[*]How is the 25ms response in BF42? ![]() |

I've got a 21in crt and a 19in planar lcd I picked up from dell a couple of months ago for $430 :-) and I'll take the 19 lcd, not to mention it's pretty much the same viewable area as the 21 and soo much nicer
