Hello all, I plan to build a dual xeon system soon with the intent of overclocking them. So far the only blocks that I have found that will work with socket 604 is the swiftech MCW5000-PX. If anyone knows of a better block any help would be appreciated. Also, I currently have a heatercore from a chevy chevette, will this be enough to handle both xeons, a gpu, and northbridge? If not can anyone recommend a better heatercore? I am planning to run this on a 317gph eheim pump which I am not sure will be powerful enough. Thanks for any help in advance!

Read the thread, then post any doubts ![]() But i think you can get a good deal of info from it. I think the chevette core will be sufficient , as long it has a decent airflow. However, i think you should try to get a bigger one, something like one of these . Or the biggest you can fit on your case. As pump goes, if you dont already bought one, try the MCP600. The info from Swiftech and BillA gave states that it's considerably better than the Eheim, and it's 12v, so you can connect it to the PSU (althou it a bit pricey, but then again, so is the Eheim). But both ( the MCP600 or the Eheim) are enough, imo.

Thank you for the reply TerraMex, i like the looks of that switech pump. Also the radiators in that picture, do you know what the name of the one on the right is? I know the one on the left and i do not like the tubing setup it has.

I have no reference of them. They are from japanese cars i think. I just went to parts shop and picked those from the "salvage bin".
But the one on the left is smaller than the one on the right. The one on the right is 10,75" x 5,625" x 2,1" , approx. The one on the left is 9,5" x 5,1" x 2.1" , approx. Try to use airspirit's heatercore database for a match. http://www.pullmanford.com/heatercores/ As far is the tubing. The one on the right was cleaned and the brass tubes replaced by barbs. I'm doing the same with the other one when i get more barbs... but it's not a priority . I got both just in case one leaked, or i screw up.
