I am in the process of building my new system, so I'm not too worried about the WC aspect of it yet, considering that I just ordered my case and PSU...i figure that if things go as planned, I should have all my WC components and a COMPLETE system by Christmas, damn girlfriend and homecoming breaking the bank lol..I just wanted to run this system by you guys to see if you had any suggestions, since you are the PROS and all...

buy a heatercore, not the BIX. Made for computer radiators are always way overpriced; a chevy caprice heatercore is similarly sized, but with better performance and half the price.

Metal fittings in an acrylic reservoir often cause cracks and leaks.
If you can, get nylon or other plastic ones. |

is it possible for me to change out the metal fittings on the reservoir to plastic? and also what about using a motorcycle radiator...i work at McBrann Cycle Shed so I can get ahold of old ones pretty easy. Do you think this would work?
thanks Josh |

as long as its copper it should be fine. Aluminum will get galvanic corrosion so it should be avoided.

I have that res and I did crack the casing so it is indeed a risk... (quickly replaced) but that WAS becasue I was over tightening the brass barbs... but other than that I am satified the way this res turned out... you just have to find a way to mount it so you don't get turbulence.
I feel safer knowing my hoses are on brass barbs for some reason... don't ask me why. though I will be putting spiral clamps on and brass will be able to take the preasure better. You choice at the end of the day though. ~ Boli
