Default Always the waiting game

Blah... been one of those weeks/weekends

Well the MidWestLAN went off without a hitch, and was quite successful. More MWL events will be coming up and possibly closer to your neck of the woods cause it is a roaming kind of event. Next event is going to happen Mid Jan. Starting to firm up dates and locations now.

With the first MWL over I was planning on getting all over some ProCooling project kind of stuff and also much in the way of site work and possible redesign re coding form some php skills I learned building some apps on the mwl site. But alas I have to wait for both those things...

1. the project... yeh well once upon a time I got an email from Jim at cool cases explaining the delays and apologizing (he's a busy man as we all are). Well I was away doing the LAN thing that week (setup, last minute shopping, etc...) then I went out of town for a solid week for work. Well when I got back I replied to his email... and have heard nothing since. So the status on my next project is sort of up in the air. I may just end up buying a naked case and taking it to a metal shop and getting it punched the way I want. but that's money and more time... grr I hate projects sometimes...

2. The code work on the site is going to piggyback the release of Vbb 3.0 to at least RC1. Well that's been delayed close to a half year now. I am running and tweaking Vbb 3.0 in beta on the MWL site and I have to say I love it compared to Vb 2.3.x . Some very nice features to it. When vb3x is released into RC I will start on the ProCooling changes that will be based on the forum software. ( essentially building my own front end for it, that will act as the core to the PC site).

I do want to thank Bruce at Cooltechnica. Why? Just cause he freaking is the man. Quite possibly the best dude we have ever dealt with on many levels. Props to him and www.Cooltechnica.com!

So that's that.

Unfortunate. I think you should just get a stock case and then do some dremeling during daytime. I don't think anyone would care if you did come cutting in the parking garage

Too bad about the case taking so long to "happen," it stinks to have a project planned out and have the parts take so skinking long to get to you.

Joe, I haven't seen you do an alu case. Every truely [H]ard computer enthusiest must to an outragiously expencive Lian-Li or coolermaster mod, it is just the way things are done

I dont have anything against Lian Li cases, or any alum cases... just think the whole "mod" scene is over played.

this project was and is still planned to be a work of minimal gimicks and more about just 100% pure USDA certified cooling design and implementation.

As far as I know LED's have no cooling effect heheh now if we can get into lasers that cool, I am all for that!

I know enough to know I suck at dremeling a metals shop is going to work on this or cool cases if anything ever happens with that.
