A lot easier to cut out than 1/2" copper as well.

Good work . Show us the inside .

It strikes me as the copper plate being a bit thin.
Also, cooling the sides should prove more efficient. But not alot more.
And are you going to try to cool two HDD (top and bottom) at the same time ?
