Hey guys, I am very slowly building my first watercooling system, but I think I have come up with a list of items that I want to use, I do have questions about them, and since your the experts, I definitely would appreciate your responses, but anyways, here we go...
DD Maze 4 AMD 226W TEC I plan on getting into TEC cooling after I get my first watercooling system running correctly, but what I was wondering is can I use JUST the block and then when Im ready to use the TEC put that back on? DD Z-Chipset Black Ice Xtreme Rev. 2 I just want to know if you guys have any better suggestions on radiators? I have looked at a lot of the comparison charts between other radiators and I like this best. There is a chance that I may go with this though. Has anyone heard anything about it? Hydor L30 is probably the pump I'm going with, I like that its smaller than the Eheim1250 and its cheaper. My final question is about the GPU block, and depending on which card I go with. If I find out that the card I have now(Radeon 9600 Pro AIW) can hold the Swiftech MCW50 then I will go with that, unless anyone has a better suggestion of something that will fit. Otherwise I will end up getting a new videocard (Radeon 9700 Pro) and use this. Thanks Josh |

Automotive heatercores are better performers than any of the 'purpose built' computer WC rads, and most cost less. Figure out what size you need, then use Airspirit's heater core data base to figure out which one to use. If you can make it fit (it's BIG) the FedCo 2-342 is one of the ultimate performers. Even if you can't get a 2-342, if you can get one in the right size a single pass core is better than a dual pass core.
I have not owned or played with a Hydor pump, but I think I remember seeing a relatively high number of negative comments on them during other threads. You might want to check that out. Gooserider

Designing system, will have Tyan S2468UGN Dual Athlon MOBO, SCSI HDDS, other goodies. Will run LINUX only. Want to have silent running, minimal fans, and water cooled. Probably not OC'c |
