Things have slowed a bit in my system since adding multiple blocks and now I am planning to go to either the swifty 6002 or the RBX (w noz 4) then I am going to a couple of dual pass cores instead of my single pass.
So would it be better to run a single more powerful pump through every thing in my loop or create two loops with two of those tiny csystems pumps? I was guessing that it would be a single more powerful pump but I don't really know. Now, if it is, what would be an upgrade from a MagDrive 3 without breaking the bank or without going psycho with some monster 2000gph pump that sucks more juice then a big screen. |

The D4 would be a step down in pump power and the iwaki would be one of those break the bank pumps. Then there is the matter of the single power it all or the dual create two loops question.
As for the pump threads that are all over the forum none actually help me as I already have a fairly decent pump. What I am looking for is some more info on some of the more powerful pumps, which I have not found using the search so I thought I might ask. Thanks for the replys though, I do appreciate them as they can be far and few between with the 100 or so "what's the best pump" threads that pop up constantly. |

The D4 does have the advantage that it uses a lot less power and can run off your psu. However, at $75 those benefits come at a steep price. If you go with the 6002 what flow you loose won't come at as high a price as with the TDX. Perhaps the pump you have now is adequate, if not you probably will need the Iwaki. |

Well assuming that I go in the direction of the iwaki is there any comperable pumps that you guys would recommend. I have heard of dolphin and I know phae has a little giant but the only one that I have heard is great is the iwaki. Is there an iwaki alternate that is as good but a little gentler on the wallet. Or maybe if you guys could just run down a list of manu's of hi quality pump monster pumps so that I can check them out.
So Iwaki Little Giant ????? edit** hey I just realized that the D4 is not actually the same as the swifty pump. I thought it was the same. I will check that one out. But still please post some suggestions. Thanks. 2nd edit** damn, did a search and I only got up two threads, off to google... Last edited by psychofunk; 07-28-2004 at 12:25 PM. |

So does that make my D4 with 3/4" inlet and outlet "oldie but goodie"?

no, housings of different types are available - with more to come
- but that (noisy) winding is no longer offered and the new/present winding yields the P-Q curve shown |

So on the first graph that would put it's start at the mag3 and end at slightly less then the 300 mark on gph, correct?

Here's mine too with the 650.
![]() I'm surprised by how much lower the performance is on the newer D4. |

well in my defense I never got around to putting the original D4 pump on Procooling's P-Q graph so mine was never incorrect*
*except for the fact it relies on disparate mfgr-supplied numbers that are all almost certainly off a bit

Yeah, no hurry. My temps are actually quite good I think. I'm at 38 load (prime95) with 3 blocks and a cpu that is running 2.6Ghz with 2.1v flowing through it using 2 papst fgl's. This is just my obsessive cumpulsive nature acting out.
